PART I – VISION COMPONENTS ELEMENTS AND DESCRIPTORS

PART II – VISION SUCCESS INDICATORS

VISION is defined as a statement that describes the desired future state or long-term goal of a local government unit (LGU).

VISION COMPONENTS are the "inward-looking" and "outward-looking" aspects of the vision. The "outward-looking" component of the vision statement expresses the LGU’s desired role and contribution to the broader society and its commitment to collaborate with other entities for holistic and sustainable development. Meanwhile, the "inward-looking" component of the vision statement depicts the LGU’s desired future state in terms of its own capacity and performance and its commitment to self-awareness and improvement.

VISION ELEMENTS are the desired future conditions of a local government unit that reflect its aspirations and values in five different domains of development including social, economic, environment, infrastructure and institutional.

Vision element SUCCESS INDICATORS are measurable means of determining whether a vision element has been achieved or not. Vision element “success indicators” are also known as key result areas (KRAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), or metrics.
